The Harbourside Market is a community of foodies, makers, musicians, artists, and marketeers with a vision of turning Bristol’s Harbourside into a weekly festival. A collection of the best jewellery, clothing, books, art, produce, soaps, and trinkets you can get your hands on. The perfect place for a conversation and a dance. And the location of the best street food in the South-West.
The Harbourside Market was founded in 2010, as part of the No. 1 Harbourside restaurant and bar. The aim was to create an independent alternative to the high street, supporting local creativity and providing a safe space for people to shop, eat and relax within one of Bristol’s most historic and beautiful settings. There were some core ideas behind the foundation of the market, which we’re proud to continue to support today:
- We believe in the regeneration of the Harbourside. Let’s reclaim the Harbourside for the benefit of everyone.
- We support local creatives. Bristol is full of bright, motivated, innovative souls and we want to be a stage to exhibit their skills.
- Shop local, not commercial. We are a fiercely independent alternative to the high street, supporting quality and individuality rather than mass production.
Since our first year, the market’s come on leaps and bounds, growing in size and become our own independent business. We’re proud to be a major part of Bristol’s local community and tourist offer.
The Market is open every weekend, from 11am – 4pm, and every Wednesday and Thursday from 12pm – 2.30pm, and it’s easy to reach. We’ll see you very soon.
